I tried deleting all the info from this file too but because of it takes lower priority, it gets "refilled" instantly. I'm not sure this will work though because steam pulls your subscribed addon info before listening to this file, but you could always try. Working with "appworkshop_4000.acf", you could also try to set all of the "NeedsDownload" instances to "0". You could try backing them up from your "garrysmod" directory and a file called "appworkshop_4000.acf" I'm sure many people have many pages of addons, making this possibly a huge pain to do, but is the only other thing I can think of right now. Another option is to try to backup your addons from your desktop, then unsubscribe from all of them through Steam Community. You might need to restart your whole computer, or you might need to reinstall Gmod for it to work, I'm not sure, I'm testing it right now. This didn't end up working for me, it stays unchecked but initiates installing the addons on game startup anyway. You can try, within steam, going to Library->Games, then Right click on Garry's Mod, go to Properties in the drop-down, navigate to the Updates tab then un-check "Enable Steam Cloud sync for Garry's Mod".Got everything the way I want it right now :D. I'm too scared at the moment to let Steam have write access to the workshop download folder though. It seems that Steam is not attempting to download the workshop items at all now! I took a quick look in config.json with a text editor and I suspect that through here I may be able to control what workshop items download by changing some variables from "TRUE" to "FALSE". Not sure why Steam does not have the option to subscribe to workshop content for a specific computer and not for another without creating separate Steam accounts. It worked! I transferred over the specific workshop content I wanted, then transferred over the config.json in wallpaper_engine folder, and now the workshop content I wanted shows up while the others that I don't want simply show up as "ERROR", which is fine by me! Now I think I may be able to transfer the specific workshop content that I want from the 100gb+ computer to the 6gb of free space computer and hopefully Wallpaper Engine recognizes it. *** I found a workaround though! I set the Wallpaper Engine download workshop download folder to read only! Now steam cannot download the workshop content regardless of how many times it tries to force it. Steam refuses to pause the workshop download, it restarts the download. ![]() The content is for Wallpaper Engine, am I really going to have to stop using it on my low space computer to avoid getting my HDD space being ***** by steam?Īny suggestions that don't involve unsubscribing is welcomed. Is there no way to specify that i don't want all this workshop content on the 6gb of free computer? Is there no workaround? ![]() The 6gb free computer does not have enough space, it will not have enough space and unsubscribing isn't an option because i want this content on my computer with 100gb of free space. I downloaded 10gb of workshop content on my computer with over 100gb of free space and now steam thinks I want this 10gb of workshop content on my computer with only 6gb. I have two computers, one with over 100gb of free space and the other has only 6gb.
